KARATE IS COOL! KIDS LOVE IT — The punches and kicks are strong, graceful, and look awesome! On the inside, knowing how to defend yourself and being physically fit builds confidence and self-control. At River City Karate, each workout is a combination of cardio, strength-building, and skills instruction and review. Classes are controlled, fast-paced, and fun. Each month, there is a focus for the training, such as Intensity, Power, or Speed. Mr. Chase develops specific drills and fun techniques to teach your child how to improve. In fact, that’s a big part of his goal for every class: Kids should have fun, do their best, and improve every time.
PARENTS LOVE IT– Karate is safe, affordable, and builds respect for authority. At River City Karate, your child will work out in a clean and controlled environment. You are welcome to watch the classes from the sideline, or run an errand while the students train. Each class runs about an hour, so karate does not involve entire evenings spent away from your family at the ball field or gym. Once your child completes three classes, you have the opportunity to purchase a gi (the traditional Korean pants and jacket) and sign up for continued lessons. The monthly payments are low! Mr. Chase is a proven instructor who has earned respect from his students, and he respects them in return. Humor and friendly competition are used to encourage kids to do their best and keep trying. After class, the kids walk off the floor sweating, clapping and smiling, and parents don’t regret the minimal time and money they have invested in seeing their children develop respect for authority and themselves.
ADULTS LOVE IT– Did you take karate as a kid, but didn’t finish your black belt? Do you need to drop a few pounds? Would you like to be able to defend yourself against an attacker? Karate isn’t just for kids– it’s a physical training program that will improve adults’ lives as well.
